I am currently taking my car to a local lube place and putting in Mobil 1 5w-20w synethic oil. What kind of oil filter is everyone using? I see that K&N has a filter for the 4.6 and so does Ford Racing but I couldn't find a cost on that one. Just curious.

Using Mobil1 with the Motorcraft filter from my dealer. I like to have receipts from my dealer just in case.

One of my local Ford dealers is really cool about installing non-Motorcraft oil and filters. I bring the Mobil One oil and filter, they install it, and it gets automatically recorded into my permanent service record!

If I recall they only change $15 for this so its well worth my time to let them do it...

I put the K&N filter on only because it was right next to the oil I was buying. I figured it couldn't hurt.

Interesting, I can find the Motorcraft FL820S filter but not the A320S. Then again, this would be the first time I have seen a Motorcraft filter start with A****

I'm not sure either. The oil filter part # listed on the Motorcraft website is FL-820S.

FL-820S is correct for Motorcraft oil filter.

Duh, my bad. I stand corrected on the FL vs A .... at least I got the 820S part right. I have a good memory, but it's just short.
