what are the chances this would work with an MMR intake for the 4.6L?

I'd have to test fit the MMR intake. That's a good question.

The C&L guesstimate is about 2 weeks. Plus 3 days for powdercoating.

I can't wait for the C&L!

What filter is attached to the intake in your pics??????
I have a C&L with a bum filter and want to replace it. I noticed that the filter in your pics has extra surface area on the end vs. the traditional black rubber cap.

It's an S&B powerstack filter. They're available at www.sbfilters.com I believe. You can call and give them the dimensions on your filter and they can replace with the powerstack style.

Hey CR,
It's been 9 weeks now since your quote that it was only going to be 2 weeks. What is the status of the C&L heat shield?? Did you guys just give up on it or what. I have sent you 2 PM's this past week about this with no response from you. So I will try this approach to get an answer. Since CR won't answer my PM's maybe someone else knows whats going on.

The lack of response is disappointing.

Yeah, and I got jumped for making a negative comment three weeks into this due to release dates being advertised. My only point then was that gauging interest is fine, but keep dates quiet unless R&D has been mostly done. Oh well, since the C&L shield is such a POS, I'll probably get this one if it ever comes out.
