Offroad pipe.
I just ordered a MAK offroad pipe.Question is-I see the bungs are there for the O2 censors. But do i have to shut them off or will they work fine with no cats?I am worried about the CEL coming on.
Only if your car is reading out of specs, I am sure there is wide variance there, as I put on competition cat converters, xpipe, and axle backs, and have had no problem. The sensors sense the richness, leaness of car at that point, and make computer adjustments if necessary. The only thing the cat does is try to burn off any unused gases. I really doubt cel will come on. If O2 sensors arent plugged into get a richness or leaness reading they will go off. But as it is in the exhaust stream it will read. If you have them unplugged you need the MIL's.
Here is the link. But these are usually used when the pipes dont have threaded holes, or way out of spec.

Good luck. Either way not a big deal. I am sure you can probably find these locally as well. So I would first try without them. Try to save a few bucks.

If the pipe uses "high-flow" cats, you should not have a problem with the CEL coming on. With an offroad pipe, you WILL have the CEL come on (usually within about 100 miles). You can turn the rear 02 sensors off via MIL eliminators or your Predator. There should be a setting in your Predator to "disable rear 02 sensors". Good luck.
