Off road or high flow?

Here is my set up now: stock everything with borla/ford racing stingers.

I've been considering something that's just a little louder. I guess my options are hi flow cats or an off road pipe. I don't want something that will be so loud I have a hard time hearing whoever is riding with me (which is almost how it is now when I'm over 2500 rpm). It's my daily driver and I don't want the cops all over me.

So with all of you out there with stingers, what do you have them paired with? What kind of sound did you notice when changing? Post videos if you have them. I've searched hours on YouTube and watched endless videos but it's so hard to gauge how loud they actually are.

If you're like me then "louder" will only be temporary. Next mod for me is longtubes and an off road h pipe. But if you're worried about the fuzz then stay catted. In Florida cops don't really give a ****..... My stallion is my daily driver too but it's basically the only thing I have time to enjoy so I've just said **** it, I'm goin ***** out lol.

Gotcha! Thanks for the input. Police don't care too much around here but I'm just using that as a gauge. I don't want it that loud is all

Haha well I think all terminators should sound like that IMO. Haha thats the best sounding car I have ever heard in my life. I would be blessed if one lived that close to me and I got to hear it.

From what I've seen on the forums the stingers can be really loud with an offroad pipe, so many switch to catted. And for a straight through muffler, most folks go with an X pipe.

Here's a thread about the topic https://themustangsource.com/f669/an...x-pipe-453286/

I had LTs, O/R prochamber and Mac axle backs and it sounded really good. EXCEPT around 2k it had some rasp and I had to be careful around the cops since it was pretty loud. I switched to hi flows and pypes MM and the sound dropped just enough so I wasnt as concerned. Plus the drone and the rasp was gone. Not quite as deep as the macs but its worth it. I would definatly recommend cats.
