Octane question

I know this may sound stupid, but if I get a 92 ocatane tune, and my tank is currently filled with 87, how close to empty should I run the fuel down or does it have to be completley empty

as far down as you can get it, less than 1/4 a tank and you will be fine.

I would think you would want lower than a 1/4 tank. I would run it as low as possible, then put in $10 of premium and run that as low as possible. Then fill it up with premium and load your tune.

Yeah, just don't completely flog it silly on that first tank of premium. Use a little restraint until the second fill up, though it might be easier said than done...
