Not bad, I'm surprised it's taken this long for something to come out.

Bryan - thanks for the link.....for some reason the all silver just looks kind of cheap to me? Perhaps the black and then paint the "GT" silver......

Good to see a company addressing this and perhaps others will follow suit. I think I'm going to hold off a while and see (if I can stand it that is!!)

Agreed. Been long overdue... was also hoping for something that looked a little better. But it's good to see someone at least addressed the need.

HOTLAP- I think they could be detailed. I do agree. The good news is they can also match body color for you!

Talked to them today, and they are ready to order and ship.

This would be a great piece for a group purchase! Anyone agree?

These cars should have already been equipped with this cover... All the images I had seen prior to purchase had them... darn bean counters!

Crash - can you check out what a group purchase price/number of purchasers would be? I'd probably be interesed in the $100.00 range??

$139 +S&H on their web site. Starting bid $125 on ebay.

Seems a little rich if you ask me. But what do I know, I bought dash inserts.

I think it looks nice, but that price seems awfully steep...probably because they know nobody has anything on the market yet. :notnice:

I agree, it's good that someone is finally addressing the issue of the cover. But... first of all I'm not feeling that particular one. I'd like to see one with a pony on it vs. the GT, and I'd like to see "Powered by Ford" like the original. And I wouldn't pay more than $75 for an engine dress-up mod like that. $125+ is just too much for a piece of plastic.

I'm sure they didn't want to put the Pony and "powered by" 'cause of a copyright or something from Ford on the one they did.

And ya...$125 for fiberglass is too steep.

Price dropped to $129.95. I just ordered the cover in silver. I asked if they could delete the 'GT' lettering and I will affix a chrome Pony grille emblem in it's place.
I also plan to letter 'Powered by Ford' as well. I'll let you know and post pics once
I receive it.

that'll be cool... post up pics.

I tihnk I want one too. $129 isn't bad, it is fiberglass, not plastic.

you can paint it any color you want... fiberglass is one of the greatest materials to paint, paint clings to that stuff.

lol, ponygirl posted the same thing. I don't like it compared to the one FORD "SHOULD" have put on the car.

Fords was excellent, but for someone making one aftermarket, it does look good.

wish they made it with the "powered by ford" saying on it. but you need permission for that one.

Hmmm, I have connections to many foundries. Maybe I should look into this and have a pattern made. Aluminum would be nice but also expensive. It would also dissapate the heat faster. Cast iron would be much cheaper but it would hold the heat. I will look at both options. Get back to you guys in a few weeks on this.
