New Roush CAI

does anyone have the new Roush CAI for the 05-07 GT? It looks identical to the Airaid CAI. Is it the same?

Does this mean we'll get to see a "comparison" on these too?

Roush = Airaid CAI, found that out by a Roush dealer. Airaid supplies CAI for Roush

Ahh, kind of like CRC and the MAF spray and GMS.

I don't want to pour gasoline on this fire. But the Ad claims "larger than any other intake on the market"

From the Advert:....The V8 system boasts a 4" roto-molded intake tube, larger than any other intake on the market, that is mated to a lightweight composite Cool Air Dam....No PCM Calibration
I wonder if it has the venturi piece as the airaid does.

Oh...here's the no tuning "thing" again. The biggest CAI in the world and it doesn't require a tune...ummmmmmmm

Nice looking setup... I am surprised at the price though... Quite reasonable for something with the Roush name on it, I expected much higher!

Hope to start "Roushing-Up" my Redfire today. Meeting Jack Roush, hopefully they'll have somesort of discount on their parts today while he is here in Florida at Brandon Ford.

My poor Redfire, 2 weeks young, and still bone neked!!!

Well, for you folks that don't realize.

Yes, the Airiad does have the largest MAF opening of ANY CAI out there...
When the supplied venturi isn't used and is tuned for it.

It's a convertible CAI. With the Venturi in it's MAF opening is around 80mm and does not require a tune, but certainly does benefit from one.

Without the venturi in, the MAF opening is 98mm.

But bigger does NOT equal better or more power. If used on an otherwise stock NA motor there's no gain to had from going that big and requires lot's of tuning to smooth it out.

I'll back Tony on this one since I have the Airaid and it was dyno tuned by Doug @ Bamachips with and without the venturi.

After all was said and done, I'm running it WITH the venturi installed and Doug's 93 Perf tune.

(Sorry for brining up an old thread. I try to stay out of the Performance section because it makes me want to spend money. )

Yes their both the same.. Airaid designs the CAI for Roush much in the same way as Steeda designs the FRPP CAI for Ford..
