New personal best in my 05 GT

Went down to the SSOTN Nats at Cecil today. It was rained out last week and they were able to slip it in between snow storms today. It was in the high 30's and the track had some bite

My old best was a 12.42@110 with a 1.75 60 foot in my 05 GT

New Best

1.709 60 foot
7.87@88.12 in the 1/8th

12.300@111.39 !!

Mods are 4:10 gears, aluminum DS, BMR control arms, JLT cold air, my own SCT tune, BBK X pipe with Cats, FRPP axle back and MT 275 40 17 drag radials. Only change from last time out was the BMR control arms. I think there is more left in the 60 foot too.

I really wanted a 12.29 but I will take the 12.30. My goal is to be the fastest S197 on a bone stock motor. I have a stock TB, stock CMCV plates, etc. Even still have stock headers and cats.

Nice time. I was there today as well, but only as a spectator. I put the car away this past week when we got the snowstorm and they started salting the crap out of the roads.

nice to see those kind of numbers with your limited mods! Gets me that much more motivated to hit Great Lakes DW next spring.

Doesnt seem to fit the shoe. I cant see that fast with no cams, no n20, no blower, no extreme weight shaving. I dont have 4:10's but 3:55's nor an alum shaft, but do have pullies. I call bs on .5 faster.
Its until I see a slip, then it becomes jealousy, lol. But then I might call error in the timing system, hehe.

I love when people call BS on my car It just proves I am going as fast as possible with the least about of mods I will post some timeslips later but many people saw the car run yesterday. I made 6 passes and 5 of them were in the 12.30's.

That's a fast N/A GT!!! I'd love to line up against as it appears our cars would be dead even.

Not really a "bone stock" motor with a tune, and CAI . . . .

**** nice runs!!

Folks, I lined up with him twice. Not only is the car fast, but he's a heck of a driver. Better have your "seat time" mod tuned up.

My point is an untouched engine from throttle body to pan. At this point it even has stock exhaust manifolds on it. A tune allows the engine to operate more efficiently but the engine remains stock. The CAI kits just gets more air into the engine. I see your point and this is one of those things that can be argued to death. My goal is just to run the number with no throttlebody changes, no delete plates, no cams, etc.

Guess that makes my motor 100% "stock" as well, as the supercharger just gets more air into my engine, like your CAI? Absolutely no other mods under my hood other than the blower. Also, 100% factory exhaust front to rear and 100% factory suspension. Just gears & a stall converter.

Bone stock is a loosely used term in all internet forums and bench-racing, in general, and must be taken with a grain of salt. However, your N/A modded GT is certainly one of the quickest examples with such limited bolt-ons, so my hat's off to you.

Very quick indeed. Nice driving. Have you removed any weight from the vehicle? Rear seats, spare tire, etc.....?
