New Paxton SC sound question - (anyone with a centrifugal)
Just got my car with the Paxton unit installed.
I know there is a whine associated with all superchargers. I've only driven a whipple up until this point so some new "sounds" I believe are normal but I'm not sure of.
When I let off the clutch to change gears, I believe I can hear the fan blades in the supercharger, it sounds a bit like a plastic fan tapping the sides of a fan. I'm not sure if that makes sense or not, but when I'm on it, nothing, when I'm shifting you hear that fast (tap, tap, tap, tap) but it's much faster paced. It's most distinct between 1st and 2nd, but you do hear it between the others. Again, 99% sure this is normal, but just checking. It's not a whine, it's a different sound.
Thanks.

OK, not so much a tapping
I listened a bit more. It's not so much tapping, as it is the sound of air against a fan. Kind if like if you rolled your tongue, and blew out with a very slight whistle. I'm guessing it's just the boost being released. Car drives fine. Just wondering.
