New muffler clamp needed

Well the POS clamp that came with my MAC axle back orginally for the drivers side muffler cracked completely in half and I noticed it just dangling on the muffler last night. Anyone know the correct size clamp that I would need for replacement? I was planning on stopping by NAPA auto parts after work and wasn't sure of the size or style/type that I would need. I would like to get something of better quality in stainless.

Thanks

Thanks....those look kind of similar to the ones Ford uses for the stock axle back. I had those left over and looked at them last night but the problem is I need one that will open up enough for me to slip it around the pipe with not have to take the muffer completely off. It doesn't seem to offer that much room without compromising the clamp.

Yeah it's a pain in the butt. I just replaced the muffler on my dads car and one of the clamps stripped so I ordered this one. I didn't want to have to take the muffler back off to get this on but I'll have to. For now he's using a POS U clamp that I got from PepBoys that is leaking just a little.

I know it's a huge pain but I think you should use one like this. The ones that you wrap around and then clamp aren't as strong.

well, as far as which size clamp you would need, i would imagine it is the 2.5" one if you still have the stock diameter tubing.

summit racing sells a whole bunch of clamps.

Thanks.....yea I was sure of the 2.5" diameter but a buddy of mine gave me a clamp to use and because of the particular design with the attachment bolt assembly used to close it there was not enough room to even tighten it up enough around the pipe.
