Great idea with the paint in the engine bay! Tell me how you like the Brenspeed C&L XC2 tune. My C&L from Brenspeed comes in next week and I can't wait!
Sweet mods.
edit: Where did you get the plenum cover?

Brent gave me the 87 Octane Stock Air Box tune because it was gonna be a week longer for the CAI. THAT was even a awesome difference! The throttle lag was improved (not gone), but I was able to chirp from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd!!!
After the C&L CAI was installed, I put the 87 Octane C&L tune in. (Ill do 93 Octane tune when prices are reasonable again), It is INCREDIBLE! The power is really noticeable. And the throttle lag is virtually GONE!
After my boyfriend put the intake on, (took about 40 minutes) we went for a ride. He could even tell the difference, and he hardly ever drives him. I could tell a little, but I have to drive to really tell. He smoked my tires, twice. Once, he started to, and as soon as he let up, it quit. But traction control was on. I told him to turn that off and try again, and he really got a good one then! Then, laying it on, it shifted into 3rd at 90mph! (with a chirp!!!) Holy cow!!! WOWOWOWOWOW@!!!! It was a nice firm shift! He said, "I like that", as soon as it shifted like that. :-) ooo, That is so cool!!! You know, that could be one savior of living on this horrible muddy dirt road, with all the dirt in my wheel wells, and along the back quarter, when the tires are lit up, the rubber wont stick to the paint. haha!
I got my Plenum Cover at Midwest Auto Gear. It was SUPER easy to install. http://www.midwestautogear.com/05_GT_Cover.htm
Painting the ponies on the fire mat was a back breaking job though... But I do like it!

Thanks for the detailed description of your experiences with the C&L and Brenspeed tune. I can't wait to get my C&L installed with the 87 octane tune! I checked out the plenum cover, thanks for that too!
Did you get your LL touch-up paint sent to your from Ford or did you buy that aftermarket?
Roush scoop and louvers and stripes... oh my! You have one awesome pony there.
Have fun with it.
