New Cold Air Intake System For 2005-2009 Gt's

http://www.lmperformance.com/27216/73.html

thats the link to a new cold air system advertised on lmperformance. personally i dont like this company, had many problems with them but hey its a new product maybe its got some good potential. Claims to be the best performing kit and best looking kit. It doesnt look all that bad.

Anybody out there have tried this yet or no of anyone who has tried this kit? Too new of a product to tell?

first time i have seen this advertised so it must be brand spanking new.

"Best looking" is in the eye of the beholder and I can think of several I like better than this one. "Best Performing" is marketing hype. As discussed a million times before on this and every other forum, the "performance" is in the tune, not the intake. This one will probably be within a few HP and TQ of every other intake already on the market.

I couldn't of said it better than that. Every few Hp counts. I think i kinda like the square look to it.

like you said, performance is in the tune and i highly agree. I just want to bring forward to you guys a new product that i just layed eyes on and i absolutly no nothing about this product or company.

The transitions from round (MAF) to square and from square to rectangle (TB) are both causing disruptions to the flow in the intake. Standard rules of air flow: you DON'T make the air change direction any more than absolutely necessary. Because every time it does, it takes energy.

I would put the JLT or the C&L up against this in the power department anytime.

It's also butt ugly to my eyes...

The kit pictured above is horrid looking. Just looking at the airbox, you can see openings by the fender. I have an Airaid, and while not the best performing one (like Rusty said, its all in the tune, and CR tuned my Airaid beautifully), the airbox for mine REALLY seals the filter off from the rest of the car. So much so, I had to cut it for the MAG radiator extensions to fit. And what is up with the square look?

Wow this must be the best CAI out there. I'm gonna get 50+ horsepower out of this. I'm gonna order 20 of these. Every gt owner should buy at least two.

I'm so happy being on the internets.

Merry CHRISTmas.

Plus it's actually round tube technology. Kind of old fashioned, though, what with the new square tube technology and all.
