Yes Sir Tom was flying low. Boy did he have a big O' grin on his face after that second run. I forgot my camera or there would have been vids of his run. Next time Brenspeed and Tommie comes back to OC Drags I'll be there.
It was my 1st time running, I need lots of practice, my best run was a 13.5 at 108 out of 3.

Tom where did you get your DR's, not that I want to buy any

My buds at Brenspeed sell Mickey Thompson DRs that they run on all of their cars. But since I have 4.10 gears, I wanted a taller tire than what they carry so I did M&H Racemasters- letter F on this page:

Well, I went to Muncie Dragway today and made 5 passes. In order:

12.045 @ 119.0
11.901 @ 118.9
11.945 @ 119.8
11.798 @ 119.6
11.747 @ 119.4

I had a track official tell me that my driver's side tire was coming off of the ground about 1/2"! Got faster and faster as I began to get used to the track. There is a private rental this coming Friday, if the weather holds up, hopefully I'll have another new personal best!

Tom, truly amazing #'s from 281 cubic inches. Can't wait to get the blower on mine! I can tell you from experience - just as psfracer mentioned - that 119 mph trap speeds indicate an 11.30 capability as long as traction, suspension, and gearing are all dialed in right. Sounds like you're gonna need a cage in the car before much longer!

Thanks alot guys! I'm happy with the car..... it runs smooth, got me 22mph on the way to the track, sounds great, looks great, etc. Runs pretty good, but I don't want to go near roll bar territory which is 11.5..

Sweet times Tom. Now you just need to get used to running like 11.6 so you can do bracket racing.

Awesome runs, that is one strong running mustang you have there. I here muncie dragstrip has been resurfaced and hooks really well. What rpm are you launching at to cut those 1.62 60ft's. Are you still on the stock clutch and if so, how is it holding up at 450rwhp.

To tell the truth about rpm, I really couldn't tell you exactly. I have found with this car and the current power/suspension/tires, that my best times come from a quick rev and clutch dump when the light turns. It's kind of hard to pin point exactly the rpm but I know it's up there..... as I get more practice I should be able to tell you.

I am still on the stock clutch and it's held up for over a year now with forced induction. I speed-shift the car but don't power shift it; my shift light is at 6400rpm and I shift quickly when the light glows.

Traction at Muncie is really, really good. A track official told me that my driver's side tire was coming off the ground about 1/2" on the launch.

LOL that's funny, I've actually considered putting my factory catted midpipe back on the car, just so I can hear the Saleen better. Right now, you can hear it until about 4000rpm then the exhaust just drowns it out- shorties, offroad H, resonators, and Borlas.

OK bear with me.... these vids are shot on 8mm and look great on my camera and TV but have transferred horribly to my computer. But, you can get the idea..... Also it doesn't help that there was a 20mph crosswind blowing across the track, right into the camera.
