Hello!
I am currently in the process of swapping my 5r55s out for a tr3650. I have pretty much everything out, but I ran into a problem with the wiring harness. I am trying to solder the white/pink wire to the r/lb wire, but there appear to be two white/pink wires on the harness. I have attached pictures of both, and if anyone is able to tell me which one is the correct one, I'd appreciate it. (on one of the wires the pink strip is very faint)
They were among the 7 wires attached to the neutral safety switch / mlps connector. I have not been able to find a single wiring diagram for this part. I scoured the internet for hours to no avail. I think that if no one knows, then I will use a pinch connector and go with the wire shown in the second picture. Worst case I drop the transmission back out.
Thanks, but unfortunately due to the fact that none of the other wires matched up it didn’t fit.
I managed to figure out which one it was by testing continuity with the ignition wire on the ignition switch. I connected it to the red/light blue wire, and then checked continuity with the ignition switch and the starter solenoid itself. Again, it tested correctly. And yet the engine still won’t turn. I tested the voltage coming from the ignition switch, and at the ignition wire there were 0 volts regardless of key position. I’m at a loss. Everything lights up, and accessory mode works just fine. I can hear the fuel pump. But I’m not getting any power to the starter.
Resolved; it was blown fuse 21 in the passenger compartment
