Alright. I got the predator, uploaded a custom tune to my car and stored the original (factory) back up on the Predator.

I can't get the Predator to communicate with my PC.

Here's what I have tried so far.

1.) verified that I do have the current revision (r23)
2.) double checked my com port (com 3)
3.) made sure my baud rate is correct (115200)
4.) unistalled and re-installed installation hardware for the USB to Serial connector
5.) followed all directions as given in instruction guide.
6.) emailed Diablosport, waiting for reply.

still no joy :bang:

I have the JLT intake (had it for months now) just haven't installed it yet (lazy) but I would really like to get that thing in there but I am stuck.

Anyone have any suggestions or now what I am doing wrong?

P.S. I searched for quite a while, there are just too many threads on tunning, it would take weeks to read it all.

Boy I really feel dumb!!

 

What was it?

 

I was single clicking the "get tune file from predator" rather than double clicking it.

with com3 selected with a single click the download tool would pop up but nothing would happen.

with com4 selected with a double click the download tool popped up and started importing the file from the predator.

somedays you just feel really smart!

 

lol. Dont feel bad, the other day I though I had a conference call for work, when I dialed in I heard "there is 1 party in conference," thinking that 1 party was someone else. After sitting on the phone listening to cheap music for 30minutes I realized that 1 person was me.

You're going to wish you weren't lazy and installed everything the day you got it!
