Sometime ago My 2005 GT got into an accident.

Both the airbags deployed.

The car was fixed but later I heard something rattling inside the steering wheel.

It sounds like there's something loose inside like a screw or some platic piece. I can hear it tumbling around as I turn the steering wheel.

It seems as easy as taking off the steering wheel and removing the offending item.

I've never removed the steering wheel.

Should I do it myself or take it to the dealer - they may charge me for it though.

 

i have never removed my airbag, but here is a how-to by stangnut. seems really straight foward. if i were you, i would give it a shot and do it yourself. good luck.
