Ford Racing Axle-back- M-5230-5GT

Ford Racing/Supreme Performance Axle-back, M-5230-GTA/300566

Bassani SS Axle-back - 46075

Corsa Axle-back Exhaust- 14311

Im not sure I have a 08 auto. I dont know which gtas are better. I know corsa is like the best except for the price. Which one do you guys recommend thanks.

I've never heard corsas but their price is ridiculous, GTA's sound good but are to mellow, Bassanis sound good but drone, stingers also sound good but drone. IDK, thats a tough choice but if it were me I would go for the the frpp/stingers..

I agree with the above. Just wanted to add that after a year or so of the GTA's, While they still sound good (deeper than stock and a little louder), I've gotten bored with them. I like the tone, just wish they were slightly louder. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being whisper quiet and 10 being wake the dead loud, stock was a 3, GTA's are a solid 4.5

The FRPP Stringers were the first mod I did to my car and I still love them to this day!!! Stingers FTW!

I have had the GTA's for about 14 months now and I am very pleased with them. They do get louder with time and best of all there is no drone. The 4" tips look outstanding.

corsas

I put the Corsas on in the spring after a lot of listening and PMs. Factors: Tips 4 inch and look awesome, sound is perfect when jumping on it, no drone in cabin and I'm on a highway every day, warranty, pretty easy to self install (NO DRONE, NO DRONE, NO DRONE !!!!). The sound is unbelievable when I go though an overpass or on that rare occasion when someone else is drivong the car away.

I can remember...

GTAs - not load enough for most (or segregation from stock not strong enough) ,tips smaller I think, steel is different and will rust

Stingers - sound great and everyone loves them but money is also up there, also there is lower RPM drone.

Bassani - sound great and look great too but money was also close. I heard Corsas in person and never gave these a fair shot probably.

You'll love any of them but the bigger ones give the car a great look in my opinion - enjoy!

My question would be...what do you want from an exhaust?

1. Deep Tone?
2. Loud or quiet?
3. Do you even care whether it drones or not?
These are some of the questions you must ask yourself.

I would recommend the FRPP Stingers M-5230-5GT, but you may want something quieter and doesn't drone. Or you might want loud and do not care about drone.

The GTA exhaust tips are 4" - the same size as the Corsa tips.

If I were to change I would go with the FFRP/STINGERS. I have the old style 40 series Flowmasters 2 chamber W/4" tips and they are loud & deep and the drone is pretty bad between 1800-2000 rpm, but I like them and wife & daughter don't complain to much.

I really dont want any drone I know the corsas are probably the way to go but between the FRPP and the bassani ss, which one would have less drone.

What about the MBRP? Same basic tip as the GTAs and Corsa, with straight through design like the stingers and Corsa, but cheaper.

Keep it stock. I love my stock manual mufflers. Minimal drone, not loud from the interior, but noticeable from the outside under load. I don't care for loud interior noises or drone because you will lose hearing capability over the long-term.

You gotta spend some time on YouTube listening to exhaust notes if you can't find any local examples of the kits you have.

This is one of my favorites so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CfOagAN3mo

I recommend checking out this thread for info and pictures of GTAs.

You and I have very similar cars, so this might be especially helpful. Good luck.

Ford did a great job on the stock sound. I might have kept mine if the tips were a little larger.
