NastytGT: Roush TVS @ 524 rwhp

I finally got one of VMP's new pulleys for the Roush TVS. It allows the use of the stock crank pulley and water pump pulley. No more running the Steeda UDPs which means no more broken water pump pulleys. I broke two in the course of a couple months. Apparently they can't take the load and abuse. I'm currently running a 3.25" blower pulley, stock crank pulley, stock water pump pulley, and a 90mm idler directly below the blower. The pulley uses a press in hub and than the pulley bolts to the hub. So, pulleys can be swapped fairly easy.

I suspect due to belt wear and how much dust it was putting off that it was probably slipping quite a bit with such a small blower and crank pulley. Another good thing about the pulley is that I really can't see the belt coming off of it. This set-up should also create more belt wrap so there are no issues of it slipping currently. I'm going to be putting a brand new belt on it and watch how it wears very closely to see if there was a problem previously. I'll post in a couple of weeks about how that turns out. I'm very happy with the set-up and can't wait to try some more things out in the future!

Wow, very cool. You running forged internals?

Also--look into the GT500 belt tensioner from Steeda. This solved problems with belt slippage/breakage on our 427R Track Pak racers.

Nope, factory longblock. The Roush TVS includes a upgraded tensioner.

Nope, just got my transmission/shifter/clutch issue fixed. However, I'm not making it to the track until the new year. I'll post a picture of the Nitto NT555Rs in a little bit ... Raped ...

Man, that's a lot of power and torque! Are you still running the stock fuel pump?

Nope. I was able to get around 463 rwhp at 8 lbs with the stock fuel pump. It had a small amount of cushion but it's not ideal by any means. If you want to do something like that than you better be using a badass tuner who has the car in front of him. It might or might not work. Currently, I'm running the GT500 fuel system.

2007+ (Not including the 2010) GT500s only make ~440-450 rwhp stock, the car weighs a lot more, and I'm running drag radials. I don't think it's a fair comparison.
