I got some extra cash, now my problem is deciding on a performance mod or a body mod. Here are my options:

1) Bassani x pipe, I can put this on myself.

2) Window tint, Are the cops going to bug me now?

3) Passport Radar detector.

4) Headers, what a job, will require engine mounts too. I could do this if I had access to a lift, I do not. :notnice:

5) Rear window louvers. Do not go for the side ones. IMO

6) A schwinn, gas prices are going up!

I just got tints today and it was well worth it. I chose 20% Madico tint all around and it looks real sharp. I am going to do an intake and x-pipe when I get my tax returns.

Well, I know Stainless works long tubes will net you atleast 20hp. Of course you'll need a tune to follow. Michael Freedman on here installed his on jack stands. I have their headers on order as we speak. I went ahead and picked up some motor mounts, but I recently heard that they are not needed for the Stainless Works headers. This is what I've heard. I don't know first hand. I'm replacing mine regardless. If that's not for you, I'd do the tint as well.

None of the above. Get some 4.10's
What he said!!

The 4.10s are the singlest biggest performance improvement you'll make on a cost-effective basis.

Yes, you can run cats with the Stainless long tubes.
I didn't mention the 4.10's due to him not mentioning it. They are correct though. You'll REALLY feel the gears over anything else. I haven't lost any MPG to them or shifting issues at all. When I say shifting issues, I'm talking about city driving, stop and go's, etc. My car is a daily driver and the gears make it a real hoot!

Headers dude! I put JBA long tubes on in my garage with only front jack stands, a floor jack under the oil pan and my wife to help. Did the job in 5 hours without any trouble. Timeslips from the track prove everything as does the sound.

If I had to chose from your list, I'd go with the x-pipe. Adds some HP, as well as an awesome sound. Great mod. But I might also get 4.10's before I even got the x-pipe. If I could turn back time, I'd have put my 4.10 gears on much earlier. Now I'm stuck with no extra cash and no gears.

Do the Schwinn, I think there's a mineral grey 10 Speed with charcoal stripes model.

How did I know that you would pick the schwinn!

I do not think that I will get gears at this time.

Your wife helped you? Good choice in a bride if you ask me.

I just ordered a C&L intake today. I already have a DS Predator so I am all set. I also tinted my windows yesterday. I have spent about 900 dollars in "mods" to my car this month. My tax returns will cover most of it. The gov't funding my modding habits, gotta love it!

Can't ask for anything better than that. Unfortunately for me, I've spent close to 2 grand in mods the last few months, and will be paying the government around the same amount this month. :notnice:

I sincerely hope you really don't understand it that way.

It was a joke, but I do consider it "free money".

You will love the C&L. Since you own a predator, Will you get the C&L tune?

Yes I plan on running the C&L tune available off Diablosport's website. They should have a new version out soon, which supposedly fixes the hesitation under partial throttle when using the 93 octane tune. The intake should wake my car up in the upper rpms. It adds a nice sound too, per the video I saw. Hopefully, I will be in your neck of the woods in terms of power. I am also going to buy a X-pipe next, which I hope will put me at or above 300 whp. Hopefully, that will get me at my goal of 107 mph traps, so I can run with LS1's from a roll.

The tint seems appropriate about this time of year. After you price a new Schwinn, install the X pipe.......

I knew that I should not have put the schwinn option up there.

wild stray, I worry about window squeek with tint. It keeps me from pulling the trigger. Some would say that with proper exhaust that if I can hear the window squeek, then I did something wrong.

X-pipe looks doable. I figure that I will remove the pipe from the cat and cut it to length for the bassani short x pipe. Then mount it back. Should be easier than cutting the pipe from underneath the car.
