My girlfriend wants to buy my Supercharger
And I think I shall propose to her because of it .
Seriously, some of you who know me, know that I have been bouncing the idea of SCing my GT for over a year now, and saving up. Well I pretty much had enough to go ahead and pull the plug, until very recently, some things came up. I had to dip into my supercharger fund and spend a couple grand on necessities, and again my dream of having a boosted Mustang were approaching fantasy land again. Lo and behold, my wonderful girlfriend who has been nothing short of amazing and supportive, wants to step in and put it on her CC, and we pay it off together.
I've been real hesitant about this because I simply do not rely on other people or like to be in debt to anyone, but she has been very adamant about this one. Soooo, after we come back from out of town next week, we've already planned our finances, and she wants to do it.
I've already been speaking with Seth at Brenspeed about kits, and unless I see a better deal from somewhere else, I think I am going with the Paxton NOVI 2200 intercooled H.O. . I've debated on even making this move, or getting the Kenwood DNX7100, a chin spoiler, and some other engine goodies, but my girlfriend thinks I will be happier with the SC .
I already called my buddy and asked if he would help with the install as I plan to do it all by hand (the only way), and will be looking for a local shop to dyno it, but I am so excited. I plan to get two gauges first and an SOS pod to begin with, and I'm thinking Fuel Pressure and Boost, unless you guys think I should go with something else? If any of you boost-heads out there have any advice for tools I will need or anything, please feel free to chime in. Also, anyone know the duration of installing a Paxton/Vortech? I'd like to do this all over the maximum of one weekend, though I'm sure my buddy and I could knock it out in a full sun up sun down day.

Paxton is a good choice...... you can do it in 2-3 days as a first timer. Brenspeed's tunes for those kits are awesome- get prepared for a whole new beast.

Thats sweet! Don't feel bad, I borrowed a grand from my f'iance for my supercharger and paid her back the next week. As far as the gauges I would go with a wideband over the f/p gauge. It more expensive but well worth it! Oh yeah one more thing...
PAXTON 2200 FTW!!!

Aw, I could laugh at that.
New Canon 5D Camera body: $2500
New Canon EF 24-70L lens: $1080
Purchasing LLC for your photography company: ....
Having everything you need to sign the contracts for an additional $9000 worth of wedding photoshoots in the next 2 months: priceless.
So yeah, I will fork that money over for better business, better clientele, and better side income, and my woman has no problem stepping in and helping me have some fun because of it. So its all good in the long run

OK, so let me get this straight..... You're girlfriend (soon to be fiance the way this is reading) says she wants to buy you a SC, and at first you're hesitent about accepting the offer. I can appreciate that, sure. But she persists, and you give in and accept, again, I can appreciate that.
So can someone here tell me why I can't get my wife to offer up a SC considering they are MY credit cards??????
All kidding aside, congrats man, and we'll be looking forward to some posts (w/pics) of the install!!!!!!
