My dyno #'s, not so good?
My dyno #'s, not so good?
I just had my 05 gt dynoed for the first time today. I thought my numbers would be better. It was on a dynojet and the temp was 80.2 with 21% humidity.
max horsepower-267.09
max torque-272.65
I have a jlt cai, sct tune by brenspeed with 92 octane, 4:10 gears and slp lm's. Is my tune weak? Any suggestions?
My a/f is 13.0.

What type of dyno, what elevation, you are also losing horsepower at the wheels with 4.10s. Otherwise, this does seem low if it were a Dynojet at a reasonable elevation. High elevation, those numbers seem plausible.
If it is a Mustang dyno, those numbers are spot on.

brad25,
Last summer I dynoed at slightly less than that with similar mods - JLT CAI w/ DTP 93 octane tune + 4.10's , but on a Superflow dyno in jungle hot conditions. The Superflows are quite stingy - I was at 245 hp stock with the manual trans. Your Dynojet #'s look a little low to me. Like TexaStang says, elevation could be a factor. Then again if you're happy with the way she runs, forget about the dyno #'s. IMO, they don't mean a thing.

I'm in portland oregon, about 500 ft and it was a dynojet. I'm thinking my tune isn't up to par or something. It never felt like there was a night and day difference from what other people said when they loaded there tune.
I had a similar experiance. My car turned the rollers last JULY at 277rwhp stock. This june with a JLT and CUSTOM tune my car laid down 274... that's right. My tuner said that it was due to the new 10% Ethonal gas... oh well.
What am I missing on the Mustang dyno vs. the others. Everyone always shows lower numbers with the Mustang, mine showed these on the Mustang dyno. baseline 269.1 rwhp, 278.9 torque. With CAI, Magnaflow exhaust and a custom tune it was 302.6 rwhp and 322.4 torque. I know someone will say show me, I have the scanned reports but everytime I try to attach them it says they exceed the limit for this type file, I'll keep trying. Who can explain why everyone says Mustang numbers are lower?
