Hi all! I got my car dynod on a Mustang Dyno this past weekend. I dynod at a peak of 265 rwhp. The dyno chart didn't have the torque numbers on the graph, so I am not sure what the peak torque was.

What would 265 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno be equivalent to on a DynoJet and to the engine? I have heard that Mustang Dynos raed less hp than DynoJets.

The mods to my car are a K&N CAI and FRPP Borla exhaust.

I would appreciate any replies. Thanks.

I have a chart, but I don't have a scanner. The chart is pretty crappy as well. It doesn't even have the rpms on it. It just has the HP, Primary speed and test time.

Any responses on what my rwhp would be on a dyno jet and the approx. engine hp?

mustang dyno's generally read about 10% lower than dynojets, give or take a couple %. this has to do with the fact that they "load" the spool with similar forces to what the car would have to overcome if it were actually driving on the road, whereas the dynojet reads based off of the rotational mass of the roller and how fast it revs up.

Thanks for the reply.

Stkdidy - It looks like you made really hih numbers on a mustang dyno with minimal mods.

I have read elsewhere that this is very rough conversion calc from Mustang dyno to the Dynojet:

(((MustangHP*0.9)/2615)+1)*MustangHP)=DynojetHP

Thanks for the formula. This approximates my rwhp 289 on a Dynojet. That sounds pretty good.

and your 265 on a Mustang Dyno reads just as good, why the heck would you like the Dynojet numbers full knowing thats not what you got. Your numbers are from a Mustang Dyno, stick with those and remember those numbers dont mean crap in the real world of fast.
