Well, the livewire is a tuner that allows you to flash the cars computer to get better perforance, while the Dashhawk is a read only car performance computer.

At least that what I gather from reading about the two. I haven't used either one yet.

I get that its not a tuner, but right now I have no tuner, or data monitor, if I can get both in one nifty unit and save some money why not right

I saw that the live wire was over five hundred at American Muscle, while the DashHawk was "only" 3 hundred. I don't know if you're going to save money?

like I said, I dont have a tuner either, so say I get sct2 from brenspeed with a few of there tunes, for 280 and the dash hawk for 300 thats still 580, so I guess the savings is that huge so I guess it comes down to personal opinion.

OK, I see what you mean. The live wire looks pretty cool too. The display seems to be easier to read then the Dashhawk?

It would have been cool if Ford could have offered a built in version of something like the DashHawk as a option. One of the reasons I probably won't get a DashHawk is that it looks added on. Not built in like I like.

I do like how the DashHawk can read and clear trouble codes. That's a pretty cool feature.
