Motorcraft Synthetic 5-20
Motorcraft Full Synthetic 5-20
I get lifetime free oil changes at the dealer so I paid the difference for the synthetic Motocraft after 10K miles. The engine runs smoother and the exhaust note changed. The cost was $5.35 a quart.I felt it was worth it. The throttle reponse doesn't feel as boggy either.
Not a blend ...full synthetic. You can call me happy, even the mechanic noticed the difference. We even put all full synthetic fluids(Royal Purple) in the tranny and rear end.
here's a pic shwaco...(Thanks)

I understand, looks like Motorcraft makes a full syn 5-30 according to their website. It also shows a 5-20 full syn, but doesn't have much info on that. I did not know that before.

I switched to Mobil1 at 1,600 and have noticed that the engine is smoother. Before the switch I could have sworn that the engine wasn't purring like the day I took it off the lot and since the oil change everything has been great. If your a nonbeliever, give it a try and see if you think your car runs smoother. It is a small price to pay.
Poco, I run Mobil 1 in the engine and Royal Purple in the trans. Which Royal Purple gear fluid did you put in the rear?
Here is a link to Royal Purple and the gear oil.
