I've been searching all over...Does anyone know where to buy Moser axles for the 05? I'm also interested in the lowest price.

Not sure. I know there are a few cars out there that have Moser axles. I just haven't had a chance to call Moser themselves. They may just sell direct instead of going through distribution.

the 05's are totally different, axle tubes are bigger, and the diff and axles are 31 spline units

when you say bigger do you mean diameter? and if so are the axles a larger diameter? im curious about the housing length as well if anyone knows. im wondering if i will be able to install your typical spool setup?

Yea, I wouldn't assume that anything on this car is like previous models. I know the stock axles are a bit healthier than before and yes, they are 31 spline. I've been through 2 differentials and I would rather make the axles healthier BEFORE they break. I would love to have a book or table that showed torque ratings on all the driveline parts for the 05.

Detroit tru-trac is the best diff so far and closely resembles a spool.

EDIT: best diff in MY experience!

Are Yins in Pitt or surrounding?

if this housing hold's your typical 8.8 parts i should be able to do a 33 spline spool, axles and gears of choice as long as the axles aren't some new length....then it will take some time before the company's start making the larger splines to correct length

The 05/06 Mustangs still use the tried and true 8.8 rear correct??? Then any company that makes beefed up 8.8 rears should carry them.

there use to be 3 8.8 rears

28 spline car stuff

31 spline truck stuff

and the IRS stuff

the 05 mustang is more like the 31 spline truck stuff, the axle tubes(the part you see on the outside) are 3"

that really doesnt matter when it comes to guys, but it does on the axles, the diameter of the axleshaft itself is also larger, and the housing ends are larger as well
