I want to upgrade the exhaust on my 06 GT. I used to have Magna Flows on my 97 GT and I loved them. Good sound, minimal drone at highway speeds and when you opened the throttle it was great, especially above 3000 rpms, great sound all the way around.
I want to put in an x-pipe as I like the snarl it gives the exhaust. For mufflers I am not sure which ones to get. I have heard so much bad press about the “trumpets” on various combinations. I like the sound clips on the Stingers but I have heard that they have noticeable drone at highway speeds which as I take some long trips is not something I really want. The GTA mufflers seem to have a good reputation and the price is quite reasonable as well but might be a bit mild in sound. However, I do love the tips as they look perfect for the car.
So, any thoughts or ideas?

The only time I notice any drone with my stinger's is in 5th gear at about 2500 rpm's with the window's up. It's easily fixed by rolling the window's down. I would say the stingers ,mac, or the bassani race system sound the best, everything else sound's pretty mellow. I had the flows and they were really quiet. Had the slp lm's and they were pretty loud but didn't have any tone............ The stingers just sound plain mean!
