More exhaust questions

I'm going to replace my stock mufflers on my 05 GT with this: Pypes Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust (05-10 GT, GT500)- from what I understand, the stock set up on an 05 GT is a catback.... So, when the new axle backs go on is this going to cause my CE light to come on? Will it wonk out the computer?
Are there other problems I should be anticipating with this sort of mod, or will it be as easy as just bolting the new exhaust on?
I noticed you could get MIL eliminators, but only for 04 and older....
Do I need a tune? I'm planning on getting one of the BAMA handhelds but want to do the pype bomb first...

Any info or experience with doing this would be greatly appreciated- I'm obviously a total newbie with this stuff... thanks!

I actually just ordered these today for my 08 GT. I have looked through just about all the reviews on AM, and I haven't seen anyone say anything about the CE light coming on so I'm thinking you shouldn't have to worry about it. I don't know that much of this stuff but since they are just axle back, I doubt they will effect anything like that. No tune is required, just simply remove mufflers and install the exhaust. Most people did it without even lifting the car up. I can't wait to get mine though, nothing but great reviews

Thumbs up

Just installed a set today on my '05 GT. Wow, they sound awesome! I've tried a few different chambered mufflers, including Flowmaster and Pypes Violators, and these are by far the best. Nice a quiet cruising, a burbly, deep idle, and great growl under acceleration. I can't help but think this is the way Frank Bullitt's Mustang sounded in the movie. You will like them; and mine seem to line up fine, even though the tips are a little bit further out than I'm used to, they look great to me. My only issue was that American Muscle sent two sets, and both of the boxes looked like they'd been to Vietnam and back. The first set was so dented up, I refused them. This set had one dent in the left resonator, but it's up under the car, so it wasn't a deal breaker.

Glenn, I'm around Baltimore, Maryland.

Mark,
Yeah my box was pretty beat up as well, but inside everything was well protected and no dents.

Glenn, I'm in Richmond, VA. That's funny, mine arrived in a beaten up box as well, but I didn't see any dents, and I ordered them Wednesday and they were on my porch Thursday afternoon, so no complaints
