Mods and MPG's
Mods and MPG's
Just wondering what mods you have and what they have done to your miles per gallon??
Did the super charger or a cold air intake or any other mods give you more mpg's under normal driving conditions.

Yeah, the change in driving habits will effect MPG more than most of the mods themselves! I have a CAI and run 93 octane Brenspeed tune. I'm still getting a little over 20 mpg in mixed driving......if I'm easy on the go pedal.
When my car was bone stock on 87 Octane gas, I averaged 22.2 mpg.
With the JLT2 cai, pulleys, & canned SCT tune on 93 Octane gas I averaged 23.3 mpg.
With the addition of longtubes, cmrc deletes, and BamaChips 93 Octane Performance tune, I still averaged 23.3 mpg.
With the addition of 4.10 gears, aluminum driveshaft, and BamaChips 93 Octane Race tune, I currently average 21.9-22.1 mpg.

JLT2 + BamaChips here.
Mpg stays between 15 and 20 partly because my daily commute is 75% city driving, partly because it's too much fun with all the newly freed torque. It can however climb above 25 mpg on highway trips (75-80 mph average). Record low was 12 mpg, while driving with the cruise control set at 140 mph in Germany (before CAI and tune).

Right now I have lost a MPG due to a heavy foot.
Average:
Stock (over 9 months): 19.65mpg
w/CAI & tune (over 7 months): 20.04mpg
Best:
26.06mpg over 308 miles from sea level to over a mile above.
Worst:
14.11 over 200 miles after removing the HC trap.

I drive 55 miles round trip every day to work and I don't hit the first red light till I get 3 blocks away from work.... so there's honestly not a WHOLE lot of city driving for me. I drive in town moreso just when I go visit some of my buddies a few days a week. I drive around 45-50 mph to work on curvy backroads. I don't gouge on the car all the time, but I do pull out from railroad crossings a little aggressively LOL
