Modifying Emblem question for GT
On the 06 Mustang GT fake gas lid badge in the middle of it it has a plastic GT piece it looks like it may come apart. Has anyone done this or have any ideas if it can be done?I'll attach pictures of front and back of it.I'm thinking of adding my own design in there. Thanks.

Anything is possible, but it's a one-way trip. You'd need to use some double-sided tape to put it back together.

Why would you when you can buy a piece like this froms Silver Horse Racing
You can get them, satin, triple chrome, polished or this one. You can also get them with no logo etc. Then get whatever design you want put on it by hireman, just my thoughts, the stock emblem is so **** cheesy plastic.

It can be done, but, be aware there are 2 different parts out there. At some point Ford changed this part and it's no longer in 2 pieces, but is molded as one piece. The older design just has a small tab of glue holding the GT emblem on.

Yeah it looks like heat was used on this one there are a few tabs melted down holding it in place, probably glue also, I think I will not mess with this one. If that picture above these posts pans out I may go with that.
