MMR has a twin 60mm throttle body on their site now. Claims 10-15 hp gains with no tune. $499 seems high though.

I was about to get mad because I just bought the Jet T.B.S., but I'm not paying $500 for a throttle body. They are dreaming.

Nope. I'd be willing to bet the MMR price may drop after the BBK unit is actually shipping. Right now they apparently have the only one available on the market.

I'm really surprised by this claim. 10-15 seems high for a TB. Is that with other Mods or by itself?

I got thier air intake at first (back in Nov 04), and found it to be of very poor quality... I would not go to them for something as percise and complex as the new throttle bodies...IMO

Using my good old HP/$$ ratio, $500 for 10 horsepower = $50 per pony increase. No thank you.

I would think most SCs are in the $30-$35/hp range (e.g., 150hp for ~$5K); but even so, there is still a law of diminishing returns. The higher you go in hp, the harder (and more expensive) it is to get the next 10hp. If we could get a linear return of investment of $20/hp, then "theoretically" you would be able to get 500hp extra for $10K... but that's just not possible.
