That's too short imo. I like the look of the 8" shorty antennas. That's what both of ours have. It seems to fit perfectly.

Do not waste your time and money. It will not fit the '05 as the four optional threaded shanks are all too short. When you try to return it, they will charge you a 20% restocking fee plus your expense to return it. They are located in Canada and only accept returns to a PO box so you cannot use a courier which means freight is probably more expensive than normal. I guess I now have a $30 four inch piece of plastic to use as a nose picker becuase it aint worth much else.

OUCH!! Thank god there are guinea pigs out there..I've got the 8 incher which my wife absolutely loves

"millimeter side" lmao. Personally I wish Stangs came with the in window antenna's, I might just take mine off period, because I dont think that you need AM/FM radio if you have the Sirius hardwired in, do you?

David I agree, the S197 would look better with out the fender mount antenna!
