The electric pump frees up parisitic loss, but mainly helps to cool it quicker. Definately worth it! I already have mine, but this is a great deal for the pump, relay kit and shipping. I think I paid $300 for the pump alone a few months back. The prices have gone up quite a bit since then. Great deal! The install isn't that bad at all. There's plenty of info on these boards for anyone to install it.
I agree, $305 is a good price. I got lucky, and picked one up "pre-owned" that had about 100 miles on it. A guy here in SD installed it on his car, and then his wife totalled the car just days later. I got it from him for $150.

And that is what most likely caused my "limp noodle" problem. Tapping off the fuse at least I KNOW what circuit I am using, no guesswork. The relay requires 0.08 amps to hold closed, very little power but may be enough to confuse the processor if the wrong circuit on the wrong side of some sensor is used. That is my theory at least and I'm going to the grave with it.
I tapped off the harness, and I know exactly which two circuits ( I also tapped my shift light that way ) I tapped in to. Doesn't take alot of brain power to figure out what wire is for what circuit. Basic electronic knowledge. Personally, I prefer tapping a harness over tapping a fuse because FUSE TAPS SUCK. They will break, they offer the possibility of the wire coming off of them, and they also screw up the clip that the fuse goes in by widening the clip. If you ever move or remove that tap, there is a VERY GOOD chance that the fuse will no longer fit on that side.
Not really... how would you feel if your wife totaled yours?
Especially since I know him, I would rather he still have his car, than me save 150 bucks.

I read George's first post on the other Meziere topic.
Do you need to retune when using this water pump?
Anyone doing this mod. on a 'daily driver'? and do you need to install a seperate guage for temp. or can you go without?

I still need to adjust the fan on and off temps with the Predator as running your engine too cool is just as bad if not worse than running too hot.

No tune required, no gauges unless you want. I have both the Meziere WP and Steeda underdrive pullies on my daily driver for 6 months and I love the extra zip from the combo. Have seen absolutely no issues with either. Great mod!!!!! If you don't race than don't worry about switch to turn fan on like Blazing Saddles or Don W.
Another side advantage to the electric pump is burping the coolant system. These mod motors are known for get air pockets in them when changing coolant and running hot until the air pocket is cleared. With the electric pump just turn the key on, circulate the coolant, burp the air and never start the engine to get it hot!!! It's the nut's. P.S. I have gained about 2 mpg from these mods also!!!
