Magnaflow Confession of Guilt
Magnaflow Confession of Guilt
Yesterday, I went up to Randy's Custom Exhaust in Stanwood, WA. He hooked up a pair of 14" (6"x9" Oval) Magnaflows, and a great set of 3.5" stainless tips. He only charged me $440. He is a craftsman, a gentleman, and also a blacksmith. I gave him a $60 tip, but I'll tip him more than that on our next project, to help alleviate my guilt. The exhaust note is much better now. Here are some photos:

That's great, glad you're happy!
Just curious though, as to why you wouldn't buy a bolt-in set of Magnaflows and save $100? At $399 shipped and no sales tax, seems like it would be worth it: http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/images/15882.jpg

#1.) If you click on the thumbnail, you will get a bigger photo.
#2.) I use Randy because I shop locally, and I like the guy, and he does great work. I paid $40 too much? What is that now; a half a tank of gas? By shopping locally, you help keep the people in business who will help you out later as well.
#3.) To the appearance Parana on this thread, please be advised that it is a Wing, not a spoiler. The car has forward mud flaps too, if you care to comment about those as well.

No, you paid $100 too much after you factor in the tip you gave the guy. Look, I wasn't trying to give attitude, just asking the mere question. Axleback swaps can be done in a driveway with 2 basic handtools and about 60 minutes. Anyway, like I said I'm glad you're happy.

I've always understood having them on a "race car" but not so much for one that is just on the street as it would never see the speeds required to actually make the spoiler useful, but like you said, to each their own. Heck, look at my car and there are lots of things people would never do but I do it cause I like it. Who cares if others don't.
Man, you guys are rough
To each his own. HE has to drive it and be seen in it. So, I guess the giant wing on the back of the 69 Datona Charger makes it ricey?
NOT
I am sure there are things about each of your cars that you LOVE that someone else thinks is a little off beat. They just dont get the opportunity to say it
