MagnaCharger Install

Dyno Graph for 2005 Mustang GT with 6 & 9# boost Magnacharger.
After exploring my many options and crunching numbers I decided that an intercooled Magnacharger best suited my needs. I contacted Brian Croutcher at www.hotpart.com and placed my order. I initially planned to do the install myself but decided to have it done professionally. I contacted Lidio at Alternative Auto Performance in Mt.Clemens Mi. and though he had never done one he was enthusiastic about doing the install. The install went smoothly and he liked the completeness of the kit. It came with a SCT programmer as well as 39# injectors. It initially dyno'd at 372.2 rwhp and 356.6 lbs of torque with good A/F on the canned tune. Lidio felt he could improve this significantly so he replaced the 3.3" pulley with a 3" one which upped the boost to 9#s and added his custom tune. With those changes it produced 399.2 HP and 407.8ft lbs. of torque. Although these numbers are not as high as what I would have liked them to be Lidio felt they were respectable for an Automatic with no other modifications. I am very impressed with the power throughout the power band and it feels like a rocket compared to it previously with C&L CAI and Brenspeed SCT tune. I am very happy for now....

Thats funny, I was at Lidios shop all last week getting some work done, and was watching the guy do the install, and also watched it on the dyno. I was laid off last week, so I spent a lot of time there. I was wondering if that was somebodies car on this site. Nice car and good numbers for an auto.

In the March issue of MODIFIED MUSTANGS Stillen's Mustang is on the cover and it has their Stilen/ Magnacharger installed that they claim is CARB legal. Check it out.

Grats! Those Magnachargers are sweet. My friend pulled 417hp to the street on Steeda's dyno with his. I thought my Roush's whine was loud until I heard his.

His is like WWWHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPP!

You plan on taking it to the dragstrip? I'm curious to see what kind of times you could get.

Yes I do plan on running at Milan Dragway but not for a few mos. I'm thinking I will need drag radials cuz out of the hole it sits and tires burn...
