Lowering springs question

As if there isn't enough to worry about in the MOD realm for the stang....... I found myself looking at something I already have installed: springs

<humor me>

I have the Saleen suspension kit and really like it.

BUT - lately I have been looking at some pics of my old black 05 - and I had the Eibach prokit on that. And if there is one thing that I loved about that car (among many), that was the stance. And it has been brought back by reviewing old pics.

Now I find myself with the constant thought in my head that goes:

'Yeah the 06 looks great right now.... but just THINK of it crouched down just a bit lower............'

I am remembering the ride quality of the Eibachs and trying to weigh that against some others like the Steeda springs or the Roush or H&Rs. So if anyone running those springs wants to chime in please do so

[I truly think the thing with the Saleen's is that the Saleen mustangs come STOCK - or primarily used to - with 20 inch wheels and the kit is taking that into account.]

Why not go with the Eibach's again but get D-Specs as well? I kept my Eibach's and when I am done buying other toys, I plan on getting some D-Specs and then putting those with the Eibach's back in.

Recently I had thought of THAT too

only problem is, then I go from spending approx $230 total to what - 700 or 800 total.

I just put a new clutch in a few months back and I am trying to put some money to the side for a few things coming up (brake upgrades and eventually I am going to have to start plannin for new rear tires, etc...) so if I DID do something about the stance/ride height, I have to keep it low on the $$ output scale

I HAVE considered doing the Dspecs though - maybe I will table that for next year

Exactly my way of thinking!

Although I'm very satisfied on the ride quality of the Steeda Ultralites and stock dampeners, I have a new set of Eibach Pros and D-specs in the garage ready to go! ... whenever I get my car back that is.

He's already running the Saleen/Race-Craft dampers, would the Tokicos be worth the extra money?

I ran the FRPP handling kit(Eibach's) on my 06'GT,the drop was great.I'm running the Steeda Sport springs and wish I had the Eibach's for the extra 3/4 inch of drop. This is a upgrade suspension mod I have in mind down the road for sure.I thought I was the only one who wants it lower.

Hey man - what do you know Tom?

Which is your stang again?.....

Oh..... THAT one?............

Well you know how it goes man - sometimes I think I should steal John's (05GT OCD) online handle as I get a thought in my head about something for the car and run with it

Gawd, talk about obsessed....

Thanks man - you know I value your input
(shall we reference the 'Corsas with offroad? It will be LOUD' conversation? LOL)

Steeda Ultralites and D-Specs for me. You get the stance and the ride.

Eibachs with stock is ok. Steeda Ultralites with Tokico is much better. I actually am running Steeda Comps with stock shocks and struts and call me crazy, but I love it! With my alignment there is NO oversteer. I can drift the back out at will with throttle. That's why I bought the car. I like to have fun, even if nobody will ride shotgun due to the ride!
