Lower control arm brace wont fit?

i was going to buy the ford racing lower control arm brace for my 05 gt coupe, but it looked so simple i figured i could make my own and save $ and have some fun. so i go under the car to take some measurements and i notice my car doesn't have the bolt holes for the brace... according to American muscle's website, and even other people ive asked, it should fit all 05-12 gt coupes (convertibles have it stock i believe). the only thing i can think of is that since my 05 is a relatively early build car (october 04) maybe they didnt design the k member/control arms to accept this brace yet? ive run into things like this before such as tsbs and other oddities as a result of having an early-ish build car. any ideas fellas?

heres a pic of what its supposed to look like... my car is missing the bolt holes

I am not sure, but the arm support brace may have been added in the 08 model year as my 08 has one. There are other options available to you, when I installed my BMR Tubular K-Member and A-Arms, I removed the OEM brace and replaced it with a BMR A-Arms Support Brace. The BMR and other braces from different manufactures (ie., Steeda, CHE) attach between the inside A-Arm bolts. Here is an example of how the BMR brace mounts – see post “10.

I've thought about doing this mod as well. Ford changed the design sometime after 2005 to have the bolt holes. I think that on 2005 models you have to unbolt the A-arm and attach the brace there. Or drill your own holes.

My late 05 had the holes and I was able to bolt the FRPP brace right up with no problems. Im not sure if you can drill the holes, from what I remember on the early 05's the little tab that sticks out if you were to drill the holes does not exist.

i checked again just to be sure and there are no holes haha. the metal tab is there, and it looks to be the same thickness etc as the ones with the holes pre-drilled, so i probably will just drill my own holes. i might even make my own brace lol... its just a piece of metal isnt it? i figured a trip to home depot or even the scrap metal yard could yield something decent enough to fab up my own piece
