Love 'Dem Wheels!

Just got the GT500 takeoff wheels and tires from the ShelbyStore. They are great folks to deal with. Placed the order and the wheels were in my driveway in just about a week. Good price too ($849). Shipping is extra of course, but wasn't too bad (about $240).

By the way, I've been having a devil of a time getting pics on. I used to have an album but it may have disappeared in the great crash. This one is from my Photobucket. Any tips on how to get pics into an album here on the Source, and then posted would be appreciated. Thanks.

Neato. I liked these wheels when they came out. Reminded me a bit of the old Z06 wheels though. Just a bit.

Tires were in really good shape too

I wasn't sure whether the tires would have many miles on them. They sure didn't look like they were driven. If so, not very far. They still had the red dots on the side walls and the red lines in the tread pattern.

I haven't had Goodyear tires on this car, or my '96 GT. These seem pretty good. Nice feel, no more noise than the stock Pirellis. I haven't driven much with them today, but I think the handling will be quite good.

I really like this setup. I'm debating on going with OEM black 18" bullitts with the machined lip (or lack there of) or these.

Two styles of GT500 wheels

If you buy the wheels separately, you can get the GT500 wheels with black outlines on the inner parts of the spokes. I thought about going that route, but it would have been a lot more expensive, and I can always paint those areas myself if I want to.

Northwest, can I get a picture of your car still showing the side with the wheels but more from the front showing the bumper too. I'm debating the GT500 look!
