loud exhaust
greetings all, can you please help me. with my new exhaust dilemma IE "to loud" just got the car back from the performance shop. just had bassani stainless h pype with high flow cats and jba shortie headers and have slp loud mouths axle backs. I had the slp's on with the stock set up and sounded fine. still would like it loud but not this loud. any suggestions would be great. I don't want my neighbors killing me when I start my car at 5:30 am.
thanks again john

You have to change to a catted H-Pipe or different axleback setup. The SLP loudmoths are the loudest setup out there. I would try a different muffler setup.

I have the Stingers with my O/R bassani x-pipe and like it. It tried it with hi-flow cats and liked the tone, but I eventually got used to it and wanted it a little louder.

From the clips I have heard, the LoudMouths sound like junk when they are with an offroad setup. They are super loud and just junky sounding. With a catted X or H pipe, they calm down and have a nice sound. I suggest going back to the stock H...or at least one with cats.

I'd say leave the headers and catted h-pipe and get some new mufflers.
I had slp with my setup and I didn't really like the sound then swithched to the frpp/stingers and they are perfect.

Speaking for myself, I didn't buy my mufflers for alleged hp gains. I'm not a ricer.
You're probably joking, but I think to be a Ricer is to invest in "Show" before "Go." Sound = show. HP = Go. Ricers don't care about performance, they just want "cool" body kits and loud exhausts.
Now, if you're talking about the fast little Honda boys with full exhausts on their 4-bangers that actually result in a performance increase - those are import tuners. Ricers is a derogatory name used for people who invest in "Show before Go."

Yeah, no offense. I hate on nobody - even ricers like you. (JK! ) I just have to make an annoying comment every time someone says "ricers" in the wrong context.
