I have noticed same exact thing. It's a fair amount of fluid too.

Both my 03 and 04 Cobra did that along with my 05 GT. I never could figure out why but I did not have a problem. Just keep a eye on it from time to time.

Thanks Mike

Me too! With a manual? Why do you ask for the tranny?

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the hydraulic clutch (isn't it fed of the same master?)

No, it is not. Mine does it too as well as my 04 Sport Trac. Not sure why? I don't think it is a lot, just looks like it. I think it probably has something to do with the venting of the resivoir.

Yeah I have the same problem. I'm a hyraulics mechanic in the air force, so I have a bunch of spare rubber seals hangin around. I'm goin to see if it may need a larger seal around the filler cap. If so, and I fix this silly leak, I will post the repair info. If its just a seal, you should be able to buy a seal for under a few bucks at any parts store.

I think it could be the plastic tank and top that causes the the problem. Back in the day when we had the metal tank with the snap over a metal lid I can't remember it ever leaking.

I've got the Ford Shop Manual and actually the clutch does share the reservoir with the brakes. However , you might be right about the venting ...
