I pretty much decided I'll be going with the JLT CAI (painted Sonic Blue), my friend is selling me his Predator tuner for 250$ so I wouldn't have to cough up another 150$ to buy a new one...now my question is...

1) I know I'll have to buy the CAI with the Predator tune (225$) but will there be any problems using it with the "used" tuner?

2) The tune comes in a cd right? how would I load the cd to the tuner?

I'm new to the computer stuff here guys, I'd appreciate any help! I'm ready to start modding this car asap!

 

I have a JLT with a predator but I used another tune. Not the one J sells. Why not ask him how the tune is sent. I would want a CD also just in case. What tunes are in the predator now? 87 and 93?

 

I have to ask, I remember him telling me there are 3 tunes already on the tuner.

 

I got mine used, make sure the stock tune is put back in the car from whom you are buying it from or it wont unlock. My tune for my JLT was done by DTP racing and was sent by E-mail. You will need a serial cable and power supply to power the unit while it is plugged in to your computer.

 

When I bought my JLT, the tune was emailed to me from Brent at DTP Racing for my predator. You'll need the pc interface (serial cable) and the AC adaptor for the predator to download the tune.

 

Can the Diablo be used on another vehicle once it's been used? The SCT has a VIN relationship that prevents it from being used on two vehicles unless reset by the factory.

The diablo will VIN lock the unit as well. So only one car per tuner. Make sure the friend has returned his car back to stock before he gives it to you.

As far as loading the tune to the tuner, you can get the loading software from the Diablo website. Open the program and click on load tune. That will load the JLT tune onto the predator. Pretty easy.
