Got my K&N today and installed it this afternoon. Looks great under the hood, the black plastic kinda matches the rest of the engine components. It took longer to cut the rubber seal around the edge of the heat shield then it did to install the entire thing. However, it was truly worth it. I can feel a little more pull in 1st gear below 3k.. Just seems more responsive in that respect. Street start stats (5-60mph) went down a bit.. Before the CAI I was getting around 5.6 on average... After the CAI I was able to get an avg of 5.3s in 3 runs. Probably helped a couple of tenths maybe more. Not bad Im guessing my 0-60 if I could launch it correctly w/o spinning would a be a nice 5 flat. But for accuracy reasons I choose to measure the 5-60 sprint. Ill be checking my 60-90 tomorrow morning to see if that changed any.. I was averaging 5.7 or so stock. I just want to say that if there is any reason to purchase this CAI (if u dont want to tune) its for the sound... Sounds soooooo good when you are romping the go pedal.. Emits a nice low range growl and its complemented by the exhaust.. Its a nice stereo effect that makes me smile everytime I get down on it. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little more power, lots more sound, and more response without buying a tuner just yet.

I noticed about the same thing when I first installed mine. But after some thinking (I ordered the K&N/Predator-RPM Outlet deal) I decided that if the CAI is safe with the factory tune, why wouldn't it be safe with the preset Predator tunes. So I tuned it to 87 for about a week then on my last fillup switched to 93 and re-tuned. Now, if it would dry up a bit I could really test it!

No tune here... I plan on buying the predator later perhaps at the end of the year so they can get their k&N tune just right. Probably a christmas present to myself The CAI runs great on the stock tune and all the credit has to go to K&N for doing their homework.

I'd love to know what these things are adding hp wise. K&N is claiming 15hp but that seems high.....

Wish I could find the old postings, but did a search and can't, for some reason my forum searching skills are lacking

That's the link to the K&N dyno sheet. I got one with mine as well. I'm hoping to get to a dyno sometime soon to give myself an idea of how I'm running and if I need to adjust my tune.
