Let me tell you a story. I've had good luck with K&N air filters, so while I was waiting for my '05 GT, I checked with K&N about a filter for my new car. "Not yet", they said, but promised to let me know when one was available. Got my car (A perfect "10" named Sarah) and a part # from K&N last week. Today I called Summit to place an order. Not in Summits' computer, so the guy called K&N. "We will be shipping the first batch next week". Cool!

But what about the guy who tried one briefly, didn't like it and wanted to sell it?

"Not possible", says Summit.

The Moral of this story? Don't believe everything you read....not even on an excellent sit like this one.

Actually, the moral is don't believe anybody who works at a counter and answers a phone anywhere.

A little quick research that took me all of about 2 min tells me that K&N released that product on the 14th of December.

Lord British posted that ebay auction on the 25th of December, he actually sold it to somebody who actually left him positive feedback.

I agree also. Why would you question a member of this site and believe a counter person at Summit?

Well guys....what can I say. If what you say is true, then I apologize. My original source was K&N. Summit merely confirmed what K&N's web site said. That would mean that their web site was way behind their marketing & production.
Anyone from K&N out there?

I purchased one from K&N last week and installed it 4 days ago. It works very well and you can notice the difference. Accelerates quicker and breathes easier, I can't comment on fuel mileage as it's not been in long enough. The K&N part # was 33-2298.

Prompt shipping and im very happy with the product..............

Go back to the website and try again. That's where I found out when the filter was released, in 2 min.

K&N Website

On the left hand side of the site there's a navigation item called new products, that's where my info came from.

Chill everyone!

The guy at SUMMIT didn't have it, and maybe SUMMIT was getting their first batch, per the guy at K&N.

Man, everyone here is like my 2 gradeschool kids, looking for nits to argue about!
