Talking Just a reminder for the newbies!

Wal*Mart sells Mobil 1 5-20W 5 quart jugs for $19.94! That works out to $3.99 a quart.

Now I need to find a place that sells Mobil 1 filters for less than $11.79

Well, consider me a newbie then lol because at that price, I may have to switch from Ford Motorcraft synthetic blend.

Holy cow, that's cheap. Gotta buy an extra quart, though.

I'm still on 5w-20 Motorcraft...but I've been contemplating switching to full synthetic.

That's a great price for sure but I refuse to give Wal-Mart one cent of my money.

I buy 2 jugs and just add the other quart. I'm not going to pay $6.74 for 1 quart.

BTW I hate Wal*Mart too! I hate going in the place and giving them any of my money BUT - that's too good of a deal to pass up for quality oil IMO~

Ditto...whenever I go in there, I'm amazed at the prices of some of the products they carry.

Hump, Wally World ! I'd rather spend thirty bucks a quart for oil, than give Wal-Mart 10 cents of my money.........

Hey, the guy's a genius. He's mastered the art of low price retail. Sure he doesn't use the best tactics/techniques, but folks don't HAVE to play by his rules. Like I said, I like my money so I don't see the point in spending more for the same product. Plus it's 2 minutes from the office.

You guys should read Sam Walton's book, "Made in America". Like it or not, it is one of the greatest success stories in HISTORY and he started it/managed it with common sense...... y'all ain't got to be no book smart to do it da Walton way. To go from selling a five & dime store to the juggernaut it is now is pretty impressive IMO.

Mine actually sells them(walmart). I'll check and see how much it was next time I go, but I think it was around 10.99 ?

btw, how often do you all change these filters?

Yeah when I was in college back in the day, Sam was a model for every business class and his success story. Most people who live in small towns hate Wal*Mart because they kill the local guys. That being said, you could say the same thing about any big box store that comes into a smaller market.

You change the filter when you change your oil. I hope nobody changes the oil and leaves the filter on? In our case that would mean that about 17% of your oil is still dirty!

I also do not shop at Wally World, Except for the Mobil 1 and the Motorcraft Filters. I buy a few gallons at a time and 3-4 oil filters also. That is the ONLY thing i will buy from them and i have to convince myself to do that. I hate that freakin place.

I like Wal-Mart's prices, I detest being crowded though. I actually will go somewhere and pay more if I can get out faster. However, I do buy my mobil1 oil there because the auto parts stores service is ridiculous here, can't even get someone to check me out

Remember when Wally World only sold "made in America". I do. I try to avoid their China crap as much as possible.
