I just bought a zex set up. What else do I need to look into geting?

I know I need a bottle heater.

Would yall recomend any gauges?

Will a NOS remote bottle opener work?

Will a NOS purge Work?

Anything else???

I am not sure if the NOS system stuff is compatible. I tried to use an NOS bottle and a Nitrous Works bottle and found that the N20 feed line was too small and would not even thread on to the fitting of the bottle, nor would the Zex fitting go onto the bottle. I would tend to stick with the Zex brand if that is what you purchased. You don't NEED any gauges but a bottle pressure is nice so that you know when you are low becuase your car will start to run rich and slow down as you drop below 900psi.

yes a tune

It is a necessity. Look for a SCT or Diablo tuner in your area and GIT-R-DONE

There's an article in the new 5.0 Mustang & SF that tests the 75 horse shot.

Definitely need the tune! And for the long run I would suggest staying at the 75 horse shot.

Hey George,

I looked into the Kenne Bell Boosta-pump also, but I found out our fuel pumps are easy to change...You just lift out the bottom of the rear seat and there is an access hole on the driver-side. Pop the cover off, un-bolt the plate and the fuel pump comes right out, attached to a bracket. I just learned of this and haven't seen it posted on here, so if this is common knowledge disregard... I believe the stock pump is rated at 125 GPH...

Yep... easy to replace. We're just waiting on something to come out that we can replace it with!

Just call Vortech... They have a replacement pump available, I'm not sure on the cost. I think it is a 255 GPH unit. I need to figure out what size injectors to go to and more importantly how to tune for the changes... I can not find a good tuner locally so I guess I'm going to have to head to California... :bang: I have learned a lot, but I want a pro tuner to "polish" and fine tune it all.

The Vortech pump is 255 lph, not gph. And in the MM&FF test of the Vortech SC, they basically had to shut the car down for lack of fuel. It started running out of pressure at 5,000rpm, and was dangerously lean at 6,000rpm. So, I don't think the Vortech pump is the final answer.

Anyone know for sure what the stock pump is rated at?

Our local tracks run this coming weekend, but then nothing until Jan 6... that's four weeks! Thank god for San Diego weather.
