Unhappy Just picked this up from UPS, but don't have my car back yet...

Well, I probably won't install these until I make sure the dealer fixed my issues first (http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...ighlight=brake). Maybe I'll wait a week...I can't wait to check out Doug's tunes. I ended up getting the C&L CAI combo with 87P, 91T, 91P, and 91R even though I obviuosly won't have all of these on the tuner at once. No 93 here in Tucson that I've seen.

Oh yeh, CDC was kind enough to send me an extra in case I cut the other one. I saw one person who cut his and figured I would get prepared. I also got an extra heat shield for the C&L from Doug since I will be modifing one for the Shaker.

Well, I was going to wait a week to install to make sure the dealer fixed that ABS system. Ended up waiting a day. I got everything installed and all I can say is I love the car soo much better. Thank you Doug! Only put the 87P in since that is what I have in the tank. Can't wait to try the others.

WOW! A Shaker hood system was just added to my wish list. Did you put it in yourself? If so, how difficult was it?

Yes, me & a friend. I was really reluctant since I'm not all that mechanically inclined, but I really don't trust anybody else to spend the time that I did to make sure it is centered/etc... Everything I read here on TMS convinced me to do it myself. Also, note I went and bought all the tools necessary. If you do it yourself, I would also recommend using a dremel (or file like I did) to the outlined area to make it easier to get to the throttle body bolts. At least the one on the passenger side of the vehicle was a pain to get at. Put the shaker on without filing it first to see what I'm talking about. I didn't file it until my third time taking on/off and then I said screw it, this is more headache then it should be and filed it down. Just convince yourself to cut the hood and everything else is straitforward.

Nice job. Looks great. So is the shaker functional as an air intake or just the C&L? Or are they both functional?

I have that same C & L CAI setting in my closet waiting on the BamaChips tune as well

The Shaker IS functional but does not give you much of a performance increase.
