Except we'd pretty much guessed it from the vague hints you dropped here and there, Chris...

I'm suprised Mr. Gasket let them go. That doesn't make much sense from their standpoint.
So does Spar and Schuman still own B&M? Or have they sold the company? I can't remember hearing anything about B&M's ownership. I'm glad they bought the interest in Hurst, just keep the products the same.

Yes, we will keep the brand name and in fact try to build it back up again!..it had lost some of its power in recent years. Still, the alliance between B&M and Hurst now has a huge impact on the aftermarket world and will be huge for us.It is certainly a great legacy for us to carry on!. No, the spar's do not own B&M anymore.
No, the auto shifter will still be a B&M product once released.
And yes, she is definately up there in age...

no wonder we haven't seen any hurst shifters out on the market lately.
I did love it, until it disabled me for a week, then broke my tranny linakge, but I'm not going to go back into the past with my B&M shifter, I'm way beyond it and have moved on with my Hurst shifter and still in love with the hurst. since it was a heft penny to repair the tranny linkage out of my pocket. that B&M shifter is as good as gone in a landfill or garbage dump somewhere rotting.

Personally I think Hurst lost it when they leased their name to a poorly-designed front-wheel-drive Olds copy of a bad Chevy design twenty years ago!
But that's just me........
