Woops... well, it's no wonder I didn't see that post. It was buried in some obscure corner of TMS. hehe

And it appears to be fast, too... how about 4.698 seconds at just 299mph in testing at LVMS!! I can't wait for Pomona in two weeks... I need a sniff of nitro!!

Yeah . . the Motorsports section isn't visited by the masses very much. We'll leave this thread up to get some more face time.

Maybe in IHRA where they can run 800in motors. There hasn't been a competitive Ford in NHRA PS in years.

I would say Bob Glidden was the last competitive Ford PS driver.

Heck, the last person I can remember in a Ford in PS was . . ummm . . ."the animal" (can't remember full name) in a ZX2.
There are a couple Fords running PS now in NHRA, they just can't qualify and make the fields. Jim Cunningham is already registered for PS in Pomona driving a <gulp> 2005 Escort.
Correct me if I wrong but I think Bob worked with Ford on the Winston Cup Racing program as a development adviser or something like that. Your right it has been sometime since any Ford has been dominant in Pro Stock. I sure due wish Billy would have given it a better shot. A Glidden dynasty in Pro Stock would have been cool. Not the WJ and the KJ or the parts brothers.

I'd say the new body style still needs some tuning. 25 mph is a bunch to give up.

I started a thread about this about a year ago looking for spy photos of his '05 car and foamed at the mouth waiting for it, much to my dissabpointment it was again the old body style. I am glad it is out now. Now only if we can get his hot daughters in the driver's seat of some nitro burners I won't have to switch between NHRA drag racing and Skinemax for my entertainment.
Yea, Ashley!!
Notice how much she is paying attention to me. LOL
