JLT II with SCT and install questions

Ok guys I have decided to go with the JLT II CAI and the SCT. I also want to put in some 3.73's later but not yet. How do I go about this whole process? As of now the car is stock and I've never done any work on any car before. I will order this and the 87,91,93 octane tunes from doug at bama chips. However, I do not know how to install the CAI or how to tune or any of that. I know this is a complicated process and that Im asking alot here but Im kind of nervous. Thanks

When you order a package tune, Doug will update your tune files for free later to accomodate the 3:73's, or other mods like CMCV delete plates. No worries just order it! The instructions are pretty clear. Just make sure the snorkel is clamped securely(not cranked to the max per-se, but straight and secure with no gaps) to the throttle body and CAI, be carefull handling the maf so you dont bang it on anything while switching it to the new housing, and the tune installation instructions are pretty complete. Other then that its all common sense, try to be mindfull not to scratch the tube's finish by laying it on the engine or when fidgeting it together. You don't need to take out any fuses/relays if the instructions still say to do that. Its easy to find help here within 5 minutes if you have any doubts or get stuck. Piece O cake.

I would reccommend skipping the 87 tune and getting an 89 one, for a few cents per gallon there is a lot more in the 89 tune then 87. But once you put the 93 on you won't use the others anyway.

Different CAI but same idea(even easier actually):

Right so the install on the cai itself is pretty easy. I knew all of this would come with instructions but asking advice from those who have installed it it priceless. thanks! Oh and I live in Colorado so how would I get the 3.73 tune mod?
