I installed the JLT CAI in my 05 GT and it works great !!

It sounds, looks, and feel great.

The sound is awesome - a deep throaty growl.

I haven't done a dyno but it's definitely stronger according to my infallible buttometer

I used the included SCT tune file and flashed the computer and it's all good so far - no CEL issues yet and I've had it in for a few days

Best mod I've done yet.

The only other mod i've done is 3.90 Motive gears.

Modding is like a salary increase, it's great for a little while but then it becomes inadequate

What mod should I do next

Did the SCT file come on a disk or do you have to download it ? I am thinking of getting the JLT but haven`t made up my mind on either the SCT or the Predator. Any input?

The SCT file came on a CD.

As for which one to get (SCT vs Predator), my choice was simple - I already had an SCT XCalibrator. So it was a no brainer for me.

Me too, glad you love your JLT/SCT combo as much as I do, Lord! It was simply the best bolt-on I've done!

I agree this is a great CAI and you can't beat the price.
I did get it re-tuned and you really can feel the difference.
Thanks Jay!!!!

Would I see any additional gains by doing a custom dyno tune vs the SCT tune provided by JLT/Jay.

I doubt it - if so it would be very minor, I only got a few extra rwtq from Andre vs the DTP Racing tune. The tune that JLT provides is very good. However, IMO, any time someone car tune specific to that car - is better.

Help Please!

I'm thinking of going with the JLT or the C&L CAI. Can someone answer a few questions for me.

First off I'm getting the functional Shaker and Hood from FangPerformance. Both of these systems should work with this setup, correct?

Second, I'm also getting the Bassani X-Pipe with comp cats. So now what the heck do I do about a tune. If I go with the JLT will they send me a custom tune that will work with the CAI and Comp Cats. What about the C&L. They have the Predator package. Will they do the same. This computer tuning stuff just drives me crazy.

Does JLT have a website and if so what is it?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Scott

Oh yeah, I talked to Terry from FangPerformance. He said they may have some shaker hood systems complete toward the end of the month. I'm hoping they will put me toward the top of their list since my car was pelted by hail last week. Maybe they will feel sorry for me.

The JLT tune will be fine for the X pipe and axle back.

I do have a web site www.jlttruecoldair.com , but it doesn't have the 05 on there yet. The totally new and updated site should be ready in a couple weeks. Till then feel free to call me with questions or when your ready to order.

I'm sure others will chime in to help you out.
Thanks
Jay
