So anyway... ive decided to revert back to my stock intake system due to warranty issues at my dealer. Apparently they are voiding my entire warranty if i do not revert to stock. The intake has less that 50 miles on it and is in perfect condition. All install instructions are included and i will repaint to match the color of your car if you are unhappy with the blue. It should cost about 15 bucks to paint. Anyway.... PM for details. Price is set at 175 shipped.

Here are images of it to document condition etc...

I can email pictures of each individual item (close up) if you want!

I would just switch it out and then put it back after servicing, if i am not mistaken this should only be about an hours job.

Well worth the 25-30 horses.

Uhm, your folks are paying for school, rent AND a MUSTANG and that is a bad situation??? I wished my situation was more like that...

But it DOES shine light on one simple fact: if you want to be independent, you have to pay your OWN way. It stinks, but it is true.

How is it a bad situation. Sounds like some cool hiney parents to me! Sorry to here about your JLT issues with your dealer. I think $10 less for a used intake would not be worth it. The amopunt of miles on the intake is all on your word. Not to say your making it up, but you might get some doubts. Now, if you were also selling your Tuner, you might be in better shape. JMO.

Please don't take offense

You do know that there are laws against that, right? They cannot void your warranty. They are jerking you off is what they are doing. You need to go to a different dealer. BUT, before you go, walk up to your service rep, hand him a copy of the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act, and tell him why they will never get another dime from you. That is just plain BS.

Hawgman,
At the risk of starting another "Magnusson" argument, let me say that I do not entirely agree with your interpretation or advice. You might want to check out this Website to see how the FTC interprets the Magnusson Act. About half way down the page, there is an explanation of the "Tie-In Sales Provisions" of the act, which is what we are talking about. I would think the FTC's interpretation of the Act would be a good source of info.

The Boss Hog . . . . just my opinion

Interesting read Boss

So basically what I got from that was Ford can't say, "you used X product on your car and thus you have voided the warranty."

But they CAN say, "you used X product on your car and X product caused a malfunction on the car and because X product is not approved for use by Ford, we will not cover repairs related to the use of X product on the car but will cover repairs that are not related to X product"
